Hi friends. Here is the Executive Summary of what is going on.

In April, I did not make it to Postulancy (a stage towards Ordination) in the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago. (The reasons are explained on my FB page.). I'm not yet willing to let go of my dream and calling to be an Episcopal Priest, so...

...at the end of June, I am moving to Massachusetts. I have a great job lined up, and the Diocese of Massachusetts is willing to talk to me and consider me for Postulancy there. I will be the Parish Administrator at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Evangelist in Duxbury, MA. Darrick will remain in our beloved condo in Chicago for the time being. (We are fine, we've actually done something like this before.)

This has all come up suddenly, and we find ourselves short of cash. Southeastern Massachusetts (as you might know) is expensive. To rent a place for me, we'll need to come up with first, last, and security (plus a broker fee because I'm doing this remotely). We'll need a bit of travel money for me to drive to MA, and some money to purchase some furniture (importantly, a bed) and other things I can't fit into the car.

We will really appreciate anything you can give to help get me there and settled. I can't guarantee I'll be any more successful in the Diocese of Massachusetts than I was here in Chicago, but I have to at least try.
