Friend, Mentor, Leader, Philanthropist
Jim Hood passed away unexpectedly on Saturday while trying to master a sport he loved.  Jim was a kind man who was considered a friend to all who knew him.  In 2016 Jim was awarded "Man of the Year" by the City of Houston and  the United States Congress for his public service to his community.  Jim passion for giving back was evident with the variety charities he supported over the years, including PBMA (Positive Black Male Association) and OHH (Oilfield Helping Hands) to name a few.  Always a man of Christ first his influence with his friends and colleagues inspired us all to be better stewards of our communities and  spoke to the type of person that he was.   Jim's work paved the way for so many other in the Upstream O&G sector to get involved in charitable works in their immediate community.
A gentleman always looking to pay if forward, Jim Hood will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  Please help with his achieving his life's work by donating, proceeds will benefit his charities and family for expenses associated with his abrupt passing.
Jim’s daughter Claire Broughton will be accepting all donations on behalf of the family.
