Our valued friend and coworker, Jim Dorsey, passed away unexpectedly over the weekend of September 26-27, 2020. Jim leaves behind many friends and a loving family in Colorado, Philadelphia and New Jersey.
Jim achieved many professional goals, becoming a Master Electrician, attaining many additional professional certifications, working as a commercial electrical inspector for nearly 20 years in Douglas County, Colorado, and eventually serving as a member on national committees for electrical code development. He independently developed educational presentations that he used to help others stay current on electrical code requirements and changes in this developing field.
Jim had many interests he enjoyed in life, but most of all he cherished his three daughters, Bailey, Norah and Alannah. He often spoke proudly of their interests and accomplishments to friends and coworkers. Nothing gave Jim more pride and happiness than to see his daughters succeed in whatever they chose to do.
This sudden loss will be felt most of all by his family, especially his three daughters. In his memory, we hope to provide some measure of support to Jim’s girls with this GoFundMe request. If you are able, please donate what you can and share this GoFundMe with others.
