If you've ever raced at New Smyrna Speedway, or Bithlo Speedway in Orlando then you know Jim Jones and his wife Brooke. Jim stands in the craziest of locations to take that special shot of you coming around the track, that door to door action, and of course that beautiful moment with the checkered flag on the front stretch after you win. Brooke is always by his side running the printer and getting you that memory to take home.
Jim Jones Photography has been the photographer for NSS for decades, and that is a huge part of their livelihood. Unfortunately at this time there is no racing to be had due to the damage from Hurricane Ian. Even if there was racing Jim n Brooke probably couldn't be there at this time and to add to that devastation the business, printers, ink, computer, etc that make those great pictures were also destroyed when New Smyrna Speedway flooded with 4' of water
Jim and Brooke suffered devastating flooding and damage from the storm. The water levels raised and started flooding their house and they had no choice but to grab a bag of belongings, (just what they could carry out) and wade through waste deep water for a great distance before they could be picked up.
When they returned two days later, they came back to the sad reality that everything was gone. Everything was lost... not much was able to be saved.
Our racing community battled Hurricane Ian, but luckily we all made it out through with very little to deal with in comparison. Jim and Brooke need our help, they need us to wrap them in our arms, and help in anyway possible
So many need help, so many... its a sad situation here in Fl, and there are so many stories and people that need help.. knowing Jim n Brooke they would rather you help others before them. They'd put the needs they have to the side to give to others, these 2 are very special people and they need our racing community to pull together and put them first. Please help us help them as they would NEVER ask for help, (probably not going to he happy that we've put this out but we need your help so we can help them)
You can also reach myself or Phillip thruogh [email redacted] if you have any questions or want to help in other ways
Thank you and God bless, God bless Florida and America may everyone stay safe
