Jim Bridgman August 28, 1974 - April 8, 2023
Hello dear friends. It pains me deeply to have to resort to this but I am unable to pay for Jim's cremation. As you know Jim worked as a contractor for Bank of America for 2 years with a promise to be brought on full-time but that never happened. Due to his contractor status, he did not have benefits such as life insurance or 401k. It was always something we talked about but were never in a financial position to sign up on our own.
Having said all that, I did not do anything fancy for Jim [special cremation coffin or urn] I requested just the basics, a cardboard box and no urn. I don't like asking for help but I've been put in a position where I need to now as I've delayed Jim coming home and the funeral home can not help me any further. As mentioned before there will be no service since it is just me. Jim's mother is on the east coast under the guardianship of one of her brothers because of her dementia and Jim's father is here in Texas also in a nursing home with dementia.
The cost to get Jim the basic cremation is $2640. If it falls upon your heart to help I am eternally grateful. All funds received above the cremation amount will go toward paying legal fees for a probate attorney as everything was in Jim's name and he did not have a living will or last will in testament in place. Again, I will be forever grateful for what ever you are called upon to do. Thank you so very much.
