Jim Bever Support

Our friend Jim has recently been diagnosed with Kidney cancer. Jim's doctors are now discussing the best course of treatment. He will either have a partial or full kidney removal. Complicating matters is that Jim has a very painful hernia. It was because of the hernia that the kidney cancer was discovered. However, Jim's doctors will not repair the hernia until after the kidney has been operated on. It's possible that it may be done at the same time.

Up until now, Jim has been very healthy. He is the sole provider for his family. His wife Kathy has many health issues and is unable to work. They are also raising a special needs grand daughter that they have adopted as their own. Jim works full time as a nurse and has done everything possible to care for his family.

Between the hernia and the recovery time for the kidney surgery, Jim will be unable to work for 3-4 months. He has used all of his vacation and personal time for his wife and daughter's medical needs.

We are raising funds to provide for loss of pay while recovering, out-of-pocket medical expenses, and additional costs such as travel and hotels for his medical appointments.

Jim is a devoted husband and father. He has spent his whole life helping others and now it's time for us to help Jim! Will you join us?
