Hi, my name is Marcy. I'm part of the help team for Jim and Marianne along with Cathy Fink, Dede Wyland and YOU!

Jim & Marianne Robeson need our help. For the past several months, Marianne has been hospitalized and she is now getting good care in rehab, where she will be for a few more months.

Jim is a GRAMMY winning recording engineer who has made so many of us sound good- The Seldom Scene, Sweet Honey in the Rock, Dede Wyland, Tom Paxton , Bonnie Rideout, AfroBlue, Tom Teasley, Lynn Morris and Cathy & Marcy are amongst the long list of artists who have considered Jim “our engineer.”

But, having two GRAMMY Awards does not make you wealthy. Jim has consistently kept his studio fees affordable. He spent five weeks this fall in full time care mode, cancelling all work and therefore, income. While he is back to work now, he and Marianne face a long haul ahead of them and unplanned expenses. Before Marianne can come home in a few months, their home needs to be renovated to accommodate a stair lift and handicap accessible bathroom. There may be the need for some in-home nursing care and other expenses that Medicare will not cover.

Our music community always steps up to take care of each other and we hope you will join us in this effort to ease the financial challenges ahead so that Marianne can have the best of care and Jim can balance his own work/caregiving time as he needs.
