Hi.

As many of you have heard there was a massive fire that moved quickly yesterday in Boulder, Colorado. Our parents (Jim and Jeanette Petersen) house and their entire neighborhood are a total loss. All of us are shocked, heart-broken and in disbelief. We have gotten some essentials but know there are so many things that we can't even think of right now that they may need. They have lived in this house that they personally built for over 40 years, raised 4 kids in, have 7 grandchildren and have so many memories that we are holding on to right now.

Since the fire started about a mile from their house and they could see the fire spreading rapidly, they only had enough time to grab themselves, their wallets/purse and get in the car. Thankfully everyone in the neighborhood got out safely. There is a lot of uncertainty right now and a long road ahead but we appreciate everyone who has reached out with calls, texts, etc.
