My dad meant the world to me. He left a legacy and a profound impact on so many people. So many people have written to tell me how much he loved me and my children. There wasn’t a day in my life that I ever questioned that love. I hope and pray I can continue his legacy and love my children with such deep, sacrificial love, just like he did. He would have moved mountains for me and my children if he knew it would put a smile on our faces.
He felt the same for the friends and family in his life. He was a “do-er” and was always willing to go above and beyond to help the next guy. He left an impact on so many people and I’m grateful for that. His life was characterized by adventure, vision and passion. I’m thankful to say he instilled those same characteristics in me. I hope to love not only my family, but those around me as deeply as he did. It’s the least I could do.
Many people have asked me how they can help. First, I ask that you keep all of us in your thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
This fundraiser is just one other way I can think of allowing people to help with funeral costs. Dad would have thought it silly to waste money on flowers. He was the kind of guy that would have just given the Girl Scouts $5 and let them keep the cookies. That was the last story he told me before passing away. So I ask that in honor of my dad you donate to a good cause. We will diligently use the money raised for him first, and any extra we will donate to Moriah Horn with Youth with a Mission. He absolutely loved the work she is doing in Norway for The Lord and he would have given her every penny he could have.
We appreciate everyone’s concerns and most of all, your sweet words about my dad and sharing with me what he meant to you in your own life. He was a special man and he’ll be missed by so many!
RIP Pa
