Jill's Fight Against Moyamoya

Donation protected
As many of you know on April 1st of this year Jill Johnson Cekada suffered a major brain aneurysm, an episode so severe it required transferring Jill to Pittsburgh for treatment.  Jill was diagnosed with a rare blood vessels disorder called Moyamoya disease.  This is a progressive condition that slowly narrows the blood vessels that supply the brain.

I met Jill in 2012 when she started at a surgery center I work at.  Everyone instantly fell in love with Jill, not only is she a hard-worker, she brings her spunky uplifting attitude with her everyday.  After serving our country in the Air Force Jill put herself through nursing school, she is honestly the most caring and compassionate nurse I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  Jill has gone above and beyond the call of a nurse to help out a patient in need on more occasions than I could ever count.

While it’s obvious Jill loves nursing her biggest love is her family; Josh her loving husband and her two lovely boys, 4 year old Hank and 2 year old Jack.  Jill may be a fantastic nurse but she’s an outstanding wife and mother.

At this time Jill’s long term prognosis is uncertain, she has undergone many surgeries and is going on seven weeks of hospitalization, much of that spent in critical care units.  What is clear is that she has a long road ahead of her and her family is incurring significant expenses.  I'm asking that you pray for Jill and her family and if you have the resources consider donating to help offset the incredible expenses Jill and her family face.  If you don’t have the resources please consider at least sharing this campaign with others.
