Jill Paski-Weaver's Courageous Journey
Donation protected
Around Thanksgiving 2022, Jill discovered a mass in her left breast that continued to grow quite rapidly. After countless tests, she was diagnosed with breast cancer in early February 2023.
For those of us who have the privilege of knowing Jill, she handled the news of the diagnosis as she has every other challenge in life: head-on, and with an incredibly positive attitude. The doctors informed her she would need to have chemotherapy and radiation, and recommended a mastectomy of her left breast and lumpectomy in her right breast (at a minimum). Jill recently had an MRI to determine whether the cancer has affected other areas of her body, as well as having her port placed to begin chemotherapy in late February.
For years, Jill has provided amazing childcare for countless families (mine included). She is one of the most courageous, helpful and selfless spirits walking this earth, and now it is our turn to offer her help. As you could imagine, this journey is going to be long and filled with many ups and downs, emotionally and financially.
Jill is a single mom to her four wonderful children and their primary financial provider. Naturally, as she undergoes chemo/radiation and surgeries, her body will likely not be physically strong enough to provide care for the families she currently works with (though we all know her spirit sure will be). Medical bills are already accumulating, as well as household expenses due to her inability to work.
Any amount you're able to give to support Jill on this journey will help lessen the financial burden she is going to face. As Jill herself says, "no one fights alone."
