Jill's Cancer Journey to Hope and Healing

Meet my beautiful sister Jill, often referred to as "Jillybean". She is a sister, daugher, mother and friend to many. In May of 2021, medical specialist found a cancerous lesion on the base of her skull. There is yet some confusion on the exact name of the cancerous mass, but what we do know is that it is wrapped around her caratoid artery and is one millimeter from her brain stem. She is currently seeking a third medical opinion from the Cleveland Clinic. As her sister, am creating this Go Fund Me Page, as my sister is humble and has a strong sense of pride, never wanting to impose of others. Jill is on an unpaid medical leave from her job, and has many medical expenses and medical premiums that need to be paid monthly to continue her insurance benefits. We do know at this time she will need 8- 10 weeks of radiation daily. We live two hours from any medical hospital that can perform her specialized proton radiation treatment. There is the possibility of more surgery to remove more of the mass as well. She will have many expenses along the way for treatment, while taking care of her two sons. Many family and friends have reached out and asked how they could help. This is one way of helping my sister get through this time of uncertainty and financial burden. I would like for our family and community to be able to give back to Jill, as she has devoted her life and career to helping people who need assistance with getting medical care, housing, and assistance in all areas of their lives. This is a time that she desperately needs the support and love of all our family and friends. Our family motto has always been said that the "Stahls" are not quitters...and we are going to fight this one hard. We will give cancer the best fight we got!
