Hi my name is Lucy and I'm fundraising for my wonderful auntie Jill!

After 38 years of devoted service in the Catholic school system, my aunt Miss Miller has made the difficult decision to retire earlier than expected.

Her teaching career has been filled with love for her students, faith in their potential, and dedication to building a strong school community. She has cherished every moment with her fifth graders and will dearly miss being part of their daily lives.

This summer, Miss Miller’s niece Katelyn and her husband Ty were involved in a very serious car accident while traveling in Alaska. Both sustained significant injuries that required multiple surgeries and long recoveries. Katelyn was airlifted to Seattle, where she continues to receive treatment and is expected to remain until November, while Ty has returned home to North Dakota to care for their two young sons. Doctors anticipate that Katelyn’s recovery may take 18 to 24 months.

Miss Miller feels called to be with her family during this challenging time. She will move to North Dakota to help care for Katelyn and Ty’s children, assist around the home, and support them throughout Katelyn’s healing journey. While it saddens her to leave her beloved students and school community, she knows this is where she is most needed right now.

To honor Miss Miller’s nearly four decades of teaching and to express our gratitude for the love she has poured into her students, we are collecting contributions for a retirement gift.
