It is with great sorrow to announce the sudden passing of our mother, Jill Fahey. She gave her all to her family, her art, and her career.
She grew up in Granby CT. Surrounded by friends and family. She spent most of her young academic years trying to navigate her learning disability. Despite her struggles, it never stopped her from accomplishing her goals.
In 1986 She met her husband Tim and had 3 amazing children, Nicholas, Hahnna, and Jacob.
They moved to Leicester Massachusetts and raised her children while her husband served three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was hard being a single mom during such a scary time. Her strength was tested every day. She worked part-time as an activities coordinator at The Meadows nursing home and occasionally found time to pursue her love and true passion for pottery and art. Through it all, she stayed true to herself and her goals of finishing her bachelor's degree in fine arts at Westfield State. She then achieved her master's degree in gallery and museum management with high honors at Western Colorado University. At the age of 54, She finally got the job that she loved as a museum curator In Windsor CT. She has 3 beautiful grandchildren, Natalie, Vivian, and Oisìn.
She was always so helpful and went the extra mile to help us with whatever we needed. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. She sacrificed so much and never thought twice about it. She was a simple woman, modest and kind. It is with this modesty we ask for any help you can give.
