Ariella’s family have been rocked with an unexplained & devastating illness and need your help. Please donate if you can.
⚫️Ella’s Story ⚫️
Ariella started her battle with what we thought was a simple gastro bug. She had high temperatures and got sick really quickly. She then deteriorated into kidney failure, respiratory failure was intubated and evacuated to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle for emergency treatment in the Intensive Care Unit. Sheree, Chrissy, Kieara, Denahi & Ariella were now far from home with her life in the balance. Ariella battled with breathing problems, kidney failure, electrolyte imbalances and liver & spleen swelling. The staff at John Hunter Couldn’t figure out what was wrong but she fought it off, got the tubes out and started to learn to walk again. But her battle wasn’t over.
After being discharged from ICU and back to the children’s ward Ariella briefly felt better, her bloods were improving and she was using less oxygen. Unfortunately her body was still fighting this invisible foe. Ariella went into massive seizures on Monday morning. Mum and Chris were at her bedside when this happened as they have been since she got to John Hunter. It was so distressing for them & her to see her body shaking and tensing with little reprieve. Ariella lost her airway and had to be intubated and put back to sleep again to stop the seizures shaking her body.
Back to ICU she went. The Nurses and Doctors at John Hunter are still working to figure out what is going on with Ariella but we all know she’s a fighter and she will push through this just like she does with everything. She’s so tough.
One thing Ariella did very much want to do was be at the hospital when her baby brother was born despite covid restrictions . Well she’s found one way to get her wish! On top of helping her daughter fight this battle, tooth & nail, day & night- Sheree is due to give birth to a bouncing baby boy any day now. Plans have changed and bubba will be born at John Hunter. Sheree doesn’t want to leave Ariella’s side so I’ve started this go-fund-me to pay for all the things that go along with having a long and unexpected stay at the hospital too far from home. Things like accomodation, food, transport & parking to & from the hospital. Things they might need for a newborn baby and things that will help Ariella in her recovery. They need accomodation that’s close by the hospital and suitable for a newborn baby and possibly for a longer stay as Ariella may need that for her recovery.
Sheree wasn’t keen on me doing this as she felt there were so many others that needed help but I have had so many people asking how they can help from afar. You can help- You can help by donating and cheering Ella on via social media. Please keep posts positive & motivating as that is what Ella will need.
I don’t want Sheree and Chris to have to constantly worry about where they will stay and for them to have a safe space for them to care for baby and Ariella too. Any donations however small are greatfully appreciated.
Any funds exceeding amounts will be used to help Ariella & her family in their recovery.
