M.I.A

M.I.A is about a group of 7 friends who video chat in order to discuss the disappearance of Mia, their 7th friend who holds all their deepest, darkest secrets. Mia had been contacting someone quite sketchy when last heard from. Now the teens are attempting to solve their mystery without their secrets being outed. Though they soon come to realize they have no choice but to come clean.

M.I.A is an online screenplay in which all proceeds and donations will go towards the Actor’s Fund, which will support all those working in the professional theatre world. The association behind this, the Actor’s Equity Association, will be matching donations dollar for dollar, up to $250,000. Individual donations are tax-deductible.

As current theatre students of Centennial High School, we understand the pain of having our art taken away by Covid-19. We suffered through the cancellation of our spring show and the inability to express ourselves through the art we practiced everyday. However, we will never be able to understand the actors and behind-the-scenes professionals who have lost their jobs across the world. Whether they were affected by Corona through sickness or from an economical standpoint, we want to be able to stand with our theatre family as an ensemble and help them in a time where they may be unable to help themselves. In order to view M.I.A, audience members will have to donate $5 or more. All proceeds earned through "Donation Tickets" will go directly to the Actor’s Fund.
