Early December, a friend of mine lost their mum very suddenly. She had lung cancer and was told she had around two weeks left, but she passed away within three days.

Over the last few years she had been seriously ill, diagnosed with lung cancer after a year they were told her tumour was shrinking, following this she had a hip replacement, and caught sepsis three times. On her last visit, the family were notified her mother had two weeks left. She died 3 days later. Her death was not expected.

She was the Special Guardian for two children through social services. Since her death, her daughter has been left caring for both children while trying to arrange the funeral and deal with housing uncertainty.

Christmas delays have made everything slower and more stressful.

Funds are needed to help cover funeral costs, basic living expenses, housing costs, and the immediate needs of the children while decisions are being made.

Any help, or even sharing this, would mean a lot.
