Recovering from Vet Bills

Hi everyone,

We are Jacob and Tanya, the Tame family. My husband and I got married earlier this year and we wanted to start growing our family and so we brought in our little puppy, Acatzin, in May. We loved her to death and couldn’t wait for our adventure to begin alongside our senior dog.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as we had imagined in our wildest dreams. We sadly had to put our little puppy to sleep, on August 9th, due to a traumatizing accident, where she fell down a fire escape. Ultimately leaving her paralyzed. We spent all day with the vet, doing what we could to save her but the vet said her quality of life would not be great.

The decision to put her to sleep was one of the hardest decisions we had to make but we could not see her suffer any longer. We left the vet that day with shattered hearts and a huge vet bill of $5,500. We are not in a financial position to pay all of this off on our own.

It’s been a heart breaking and traumatizing week for us. We miss our beloved Acatzin (nicknamed Hotdog).
