More than one million people in the United States get cancer each year.  Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States.  About one half of all men and one third of all women in the United States will develop cancer during their lifetime.  In November 2010, Jean Honor was diagnosed with stage four cancer and given six months to live.  Jean endured years of chemotherapy, months of radiation, and numerous hospitalizations as she pushed to defy the odds.  With the assistance of many doctors, her courageous faith, and the help of many supporters she fought a good fight until November 30, 2014.

The legacy of Jean Honor lives on today through the Jean Honor Foundation of Hope.  Through your generous donations, we can assist those in need fighting the battle of cancer with expenses of medication, cost of treatment, and living expenses.  Undergoing cancer treatments can result in reduced work hours and sometimes unemployment to focus on treatment and living.  Unfortunately, the medical bills and living expenses do not stop as the fight to beat cancer ensues.  Striving to defeat cancer is hard enough, especially if one has to worry about the stressors of basic necessities.  Through the generosity of financial contributors and several organizations, Jean Honor was able to focus on the many treatments she received.
