Hi. My name is Nelbert Abella living in Quebec as an immigrant. My father was diagnosed with tongue cancer in May 2025 and had it removed immediately. The wound had healed fast. Everything seemed fine until another lymph nodes on his neck started to appear but our father said he was okay. Few weeks later, he started to feel severe headaches and the lymph node is now necrotic(death of cells). Doctors said that it must be removed again so we scheduled him right away. But due to long waiting list, the lymph had developed rapidly before the date of operation which took more than 1 month that made it inoperable as it would be too dangerous already and cost his life. The lymph had burst. We immediately decided to undergo radio therapy, as he was advised to do so. After 4 sessions, he has had very high wound infections and needed be contained in the hospital and delay the radio therapy.
