I'm currently volunteering with the New Dream of Cambodian Children Organisation (NDCCO), a non-profit school in Siem Reap that gives over 300 children from low-income families access to free education and vital support. NDCCO also builds homes for homeless families, distributes food donations, and provides meals to students. It’s an incredible place filled with kind, grateful and determined children whose positivity is truly contagious. Volunteering here has been an honour — the difference this school makes in their lives is profound.

NDCCO was founded in 2014 by Kimlean. After overcoming significant hardship himself, Kimlean dedicated his life to creating opportunities for others. Today, the school runs entirely on donations and receives no government funding. Every dollar raised helps cover essential monthly expenses — including teachers' salaries, utilities, school supplies, and weekly meals for students. For example, just $100 provides nutritious meals for 230 children each week, and $15 feeds an entire family for a month.
