Joseph Thomas Medical Fund

My family met with an automobile accident on 9th November at Calgary, Canada on highway 22 S. We were coming back home after visiting our friends in Calgary. Accident was due to slick conditions of the road. Joseph Thomas was seriously injured and others only suffered minor fractures.  Joseph was transported by ambulance to Calgary children’s hospital first and was transferred to Foot Hills Medical Center, Calgary. Joseph suffered a T12 vertebral fracture and has to undergo extensive surgery for decompression of spinal cord and stabilization of the vertebrae. At this time he has residual paralysis of both lower limbs. Since the accident happened in Canada Insurance is trying to decline many of the medical expenses.

Joseph Thomas is an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Yakima, WA and is a junior at West Valley High School.  He was airlifted to Harborview Seattle for further Medical management on November 25th. He has a long ways to go with his recovery and Rehab.
