Help Jeremia keep his Home, after surgery care

*Wonderful Jeremia*
10-year-old Jeremia, a 5th grader at Binghamton’s BOCES, was born with Cerebral Palsy and multiple brain cysts. While also facing scoliosis and early stages of osteoporosis, Jeremia has no trunk support in his back and is unable to sit up on his own, resulting in being completely wheelchair bound. But that doesn’t damper Jeremia’s spirit, he still loves sports, animals, superheroes and his family.
Although Jeremia is in good spirits, last year he went through double hip surgery, with a 3-month recovery time. The expenses were overwhelming on his family, and they almost lost their home.
Jeremia has surgery again this February. A second hip surgery is needed to remove the screws that were put in from his last surgery a year ago. Due to Jeremia growing naturally as he ages, skin has grown over the screws that were previously put in and needs removal.
It being hard to find a job that is flexible with the demand of Jeremias appointments in Syracuse and the leave of absence needed for his surgeries, his mom has had to leave her job at BOCES to pursue work as a DoorDash driver and sells candy bars to help with expenses on the side. The struggles of keeping up with everyday bills, while trying to keep up with medical bills, has proven overwhelming for his family.
The anticipation of another soon surgery and the recovery time needed to care for Jeremia’s aftercare, his family is unsure if they will be able to keep up and is holding onto faith that they won’t lose their home.
Please make a donation to help Jeremia’s family keep their home while caring for him after surgery.
$5, $10, $20 or more, anything is greatly appreciated!
Thank You!
