Hello, my name is Panda.
I have a full and fun life. I go to work with my mom and travel with her. I love to run, jump, and play. I also really love to sleep on my couch while my mom works.

Recently, I wasn't feeling well. I didn't want to jump or play. And I was sleeping on the floor instead of the couch (where I belong).

My mom took me to the vet in the morning on July 1st. I was happy to be there to make new friends, the vet told my mom I might have hurt my back, so we got some medicine and went home to rest.

By Saturday, I was feeling much better, and to show my excitement, I jumped for the first time. Apparently, that was against the rules. Mom was really sad and really scared.
I started having a hard time breathing and I couldn't lay down. So we went to another new vet. We were told again that my back might be getting worse and they gave me a couple of shots and sent me home. That night was very rough. I had a hard time breathing, and couldn't get comfortable. When we got up Sunday, I couldn't use my back legs. It was really scary and mom started to cry.

We went back to the vet and they said I probably had IVDD, a spinal disk injury that's common for little girls like me. I was really scared and mom was crying a lot after they told her I might have to go to sleep forever.

We stayed the night there, and in the morning we rushed to see another vet. This one was called a neurologist. By this time, I was really scared and sleepy. My legs just wouldn't do anything, but they said I had feeling in them. I just couldn't use them.
They put me to sleep, and took some fancy pictures with an MRI machine.
The Vet there said I had a herniated disk and lots of blood just above my legs. But they were hopeful that if we did surgery, I would recover.
So on Monday the 8th, I had my surgery.
We are still waiting to know the results. But we are hoping for the best.

With that said, the cost of my week-long adventures has been a lot. Nearly $15,000 and we don't know if we are done.

If you can help in any way, we would be thankful.
Love, Panda
*update*
Hi Pandas mom here Vieve,
We got some good news today! We get to go pick panda up today!
We will get to know more about how she's doing and what the healing process is going to look like soon.
The surgeon said she's doing great!

We are so thankful for your support! Please keep sharing the link if you can. The more people who see it the better.

Her deposit for her surgery was about 6k. And we will find out the total today. But we were told on the low end it would be about 10,500. Her ER stay was 2500. ,and her prior visits to the vet and ER totalled up to about 540.

It's a lot. And I'm resigned that it was all worth It, as long as Panda gets to enjoy the rest of her life being excited when she sees each and every one of you.
