Maverick’s Journey

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jess and I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of my very close friends and their beautiful little newborn baby boy Maverick.

(Please note Maverick’s family is aware of this GoFundMe and appreciates all the support, but we do ask that Maverick’s parents and family are not tagged or mentioned as they are trying to focus all their energy on Maverick and his siblings through this extremely traumatic and hard time)

Now to beautiful little Maverick’s Journey:

On the 30th of December 2024, Maverick was born via c-section. After some complications at his birth, Maverick was rushed to Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. After several tests were done on Maverick, his family got the news no parent should hear. He has an Extremely Rare case of AML Leukaemia along with some other health issues, at only 2 DAYS OLD his parents got this heartbreaking news!

As you can imagine this is an extremely hard and traumatic time for Maverick and his family.

At 3 days old Maverick has already started his Leukaemia treatment (Chemotherapy). We are so heartbroken for Maverick and his family. Maverick has two siblings a nearly 3-year-old sister and a nearly 2-year-old brother, this is going to be a very long journey for Maverick and his family.
