Supporting Ashley Gingery During an Unimaginable Time

Ashley Gingery has been a dedicated healthcare worker for 11 years and a trusted coworker and friend for many of us. Over the past two years, she has faced more challenges than anyone ever should — all while continuing to put patients and her team first.

Ashley suffered a serious work-related injury that required major back surgery last year, forcing her to be out of work for over 12 weeks. When she returned, ongoing complications led to additional unscheduled time off, creating further strain both physically and financially. As if that wasn’t enough, Ashley was later assaulted by a patient while courageously trying to prevent the patient from eloping. She was punched in the face and now requires jaw surgery and neck surgery scheduled for January.

These events have created significant financial hardship. Ashley is now behind on many of her bills while facing upcoming surgeries and recovery time. She is also a devoted mother of four, a hardworking professional, and the kind of employee who truly keeps the unit running. Her compassion, strength, and commitment to patient care do not go unnoticed.
