With the permission of the Hurst Family, we have started this GoFund Me page to help the them with the unexpected expenses they will have from this tragedy. Funds will go to Ray's medical bills, as his injuries are extensive. Also, to help cover the funeral costs for Ainslee. The family would also like to create a college fund for Ainslee's children, a basketball camp fund for her boys, and to allow the children to have trauma therapy to help them through this challenging time that could extend through years of their lives. With broken hearts, it devastates us to announce our beloved daughter, sister, and mother Ainslee Larsen passed away last night after a fatal collision as a helmeted motorcycle passenger with an at-fault drunk driver.
She was enjoying an outing with her dad, who was driving the motorcycle and who, thanks to a helmet and some wonderful first responders and medical professionals, remains in intensive care after sustaining serious injuries.
Ainslee’s daughter Kylee and two sons Trey and JJ are with loved ones and family. Words can’t express the sorrow of her mother, children, partner, and family at this shocking news. To know her was to love her and she was loved by so many as evidenced by the droves of people who have already reached out and shown up. Our love for her will last forever and we miss her dearly.
As many know, our husband, father, and grandfather Ray was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident with an at-fault drunk driver; an incident that claimed the life of our dear daughter Ainslee.
We can’t thank enough the emergency responders, life flight teams, nurses, doctors, and surgeons who got him in and out of an operating room and to the surgical ICU where he appears to have been stabilized in a medically-induced coma. He has been through a serious accident and one of many surgeries he will require for severe fractures and injuries.
We are so grateful that he is hanging on with us and are anxious to hear his voice and feel the grip of his hands again. We are holding on to a glimmer of hope for his recovery and appreciate your earnest prayers.
