Help us send Luis home.
Luis, a beloved employee of PizzaHacker and partner to Barbara passed away last week at the age of 38. We all miss him dearly and now his Mom wants his remains back home with her in the Yucatan. Please help us at PizzaHacker raise the needed funds to get Luis home to his family.
Luis had moved to the United States in 2002 to help provide for his family. Unfortunately in 2019, he was diagnosed with Chronic Cirrhosis, and was told he only had a few years to live. Regardless of the diagnosis, he still worked tirelessly as a dishwasher across California, and he joined us at PizzaHacker right as we opened our new location. While working with us, he never mentioned his illness, and his final shift was two days before he passed away; he was diligent and without complaint. Now we are asking for your help, to give back the hard work that he gave us, to return him to his family, back to his Mom, back to his home.
We hope to send his remains in the next two weeks. Anything you can give will go a long way.
