UPDATE 12/30
Link passed away on 12/18. He was a fighter, but his body was giving up on him. He was skin and bones, no appetite, no joy in him left. I made the hardest decision of my life, and I chose to let him go. Unfortunately, I am still swimming in debt paying for his care. If anyone has the time to share or even donate, I would be so grateful. I know Link would be. <3
Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this. Anyone who knows me knows my pets are my life, and I’d do anything I can for them. This morning, 10/5/25, after struggling with Link and his urinary/kidney issues for months, I found him in a puddle of his own urine and blood. He could barely lift his head. It appeared he was bleeding from his urethra and he was in a bad way. We immediately took him to Columbia River Vet Specialists, and after several hours the vet determined he had a bad bladder infection and blockage. She said his bladder was all full of blood. I thought we were going to lose him, but they gave him pain meds, fluids, injections and so on. They have to keep him for a minimum of 36 hours to treat the infection, unblock him, and get him on the mend. Of course, with this, comes a hefty vet bill. Like most everyone right now, I’m broke. We put it on care credit, but it’s going to be difficult to pay off. I couldn’t let my boy suffer, and the vet said he’s a very healthy cat otherwise so we couldn’t just let him go. ANY help is beyond appreciated. Everything will go right toward his bill and getting him better again. Thank you all for taking the time to read!
much love,
Maddie, Link, Zelda and Zora
