Bariatric Surgery

Hi Everybody,

After much debate and prayer I’ve decided that the best way for me to get my bariatric procedure is to go to Mexico. The gatekeeping with my insurance here is just keeping this procedure unattainable at home. I have a dear friend that believes in me, helping with a large portion of the funds needed as a loan until my case settles. The amount I’m seeking help with is for my flights to and from San Diego. (I need two seats due to size) vitamins and supplements as well as miscellaneous medical and life expenses while I’m recovering. I graduate Chico State in mid December and am hoping for a surgery date just before Christmas. But I need to get a deposit in ASAP to book my date. When I got clean and sober on 12/11/16 I never thought I’d develop a transfer addiction with food and gain 250lbs in six years. In addition to my diet, my chronic pain (Broken back 2005 and left knee bone on bone) keeps me from exercising. With my grad school admission waiting for the fall 2024 semester this next year is my chance to have a slow recovery and focus on my health and mobility again. I hope you will find it in the kindness of your heart to give what you can and help me to start this life changing journey. Adeline is supporting me with this difficult decision and is excited to see me finally making the right moves to save my life and make living more comfortable and fulfilling by her side.

UPDATE 11/3/2023:

Due to unforeseen circumstances my initial donor is no longer able to help with the larger “seed money” donation. The cost of my surgery is also more than expected. The surgery itself is $7700 plus the funds needed for the flights, supplements, and additional support. This is my last possible solution to my health problems the way I see it. This is a help to save my life situation. If you’ve been able to donate already I truly appreciate your support.
