Help Abel and his family

I'm Abel's grandma. Abel has been sick with various viruses most of the fall. Mostly croup, along with a bout of RSV and pneumonia. On Wednesday, Abel became very lethargic and overly sleepy. If you know our Abel, this was very uncharacteristic. Ashley (his mom) brought him in to the clinic, who then sent him to the hospital. He had been having mini seizures, and a CT scan showed encephalitis, most likely from some type of virus. Abel was treated with an antibiotic and anti-seizure medication and transferred down to Children's Hospital. On Thursday, an MRI was performed, and they discovered a brain tumor. Abel was doing well enough with the anti-seizure medication that they were allowed to come home on Friday. He will be having surgery to remove the benign brain tumor very soon. Ashley had to shut down her daycare this week, and we don't know how long the surgery and recovery will be that daycare will again need to be closed. If you can help the Sommers family through this trying time, we would be most grateful. And if you can't, we ask for your prayers that Abel will make a complete recovery with no complications.
