Mira Konda was born in October of 2024 and has had to go through a lot already. After spending her first two weeks in the NICU the oncologists discovered there is large Wilms tumor on her left kidney. Along with the cancer she has also been diagnosed with cystic kidney disease. After six weeks of chemotherapy the tumor did not respond to the treatment. Unfortunately, her left kidney had to be completely removed at children’s hospital in January. She is now recovering well from the surgery but will continued to need thirteen more weeks of chemotherapy. The doctors are hoping her right kidney will be able to support her body until she’s a little older and can receive a donor kidney.
It’s been a long month for Mira. (Feb. 2025) She has fully recovered from her kidney surgery but they are monitoring the right one because it looks like it’s showing signs of developing a tumor. Hopefully the chemo over the next few weeks will stop that from happening. If not she will need the remaining kidney to be removed as well. She has another MRI scheduled and we’re praying for better news!
The doctors have also discovered that Mira has some eye complications and will need a surgery within the next few weeks to fix her right eye. It’s going to be a long recovery but hopefully she will get her vision back to normal.
Medical bills continue to pile up for this family so any donations are greatly appreciated!
If anything just please pray for healing for this sweet baby. ❤️ Thank you.
