My name is Eric and I created this Gofund me account to try and  help our neighbors who have had a very tough go this year.   I was not asked to do this, but I feel very sad for them and was wondering what I could do to help them, if even just a little bit.   My neighbor Javier was laid off a few months ago when COVID took over the world.   He has been trying, and trying to get a new job ever since, but with the current state of affairs in CA, nobody is really looking to hire in the Project Management field he's in.   It's been very difficult for him and his family.   He has a wife and a little daughter.   Fortunately his wife has still been able to continue working.   Yesterday (8/16/20) I recd a frantic call from my wife while I was  running errands with my son, and she told me Javier's garage is on fire!!   I rushed home to find the street lined with (6) huge fire trucks, ambulances, and sheriffs.   Fortunately they had put the blaze out and no one was injured, but his garage is completely destroyed.    He had thousands of $$ worth of sports memorabilia in there, along with very expensive tools.  They have homeowners insurance so a lot will be covered, but he'll never get the real value back from everything he/they lost.  With his loss of income after being laid off, its been difficult for them and this only made it worse now.    I'm asking for just a little help, which could go along way for this great family.  They have been so kind to use over the years, always willing to help if ever we needed anything, and they were so welcoming to us when we first moved across the street from them 6 years ago.  Anything  you can offer will be greatly appreciated.  I just want them to have something positive happen to them, with all the bad they've had lately.
