Christopher is a autistic boy that is unable to speak and verbalize his feelings. He has been having seizure for many years and this year has been the worst around thanksgiving he had as many as nine in a day and a doctor was doing a brain study with electros that reads data to them when he has a seizure. Well Christopher didn't like things attached to his head ( who would) but mom and dad were there to help calm him till after tests were finished. At that time the doctors started a new seizure med and it has now caused Stevens-Johnson syndrome which is a rare, serious disorder of your skin and mucous membranes. It's usually a reaction to a medication or an infection. Often,Stevens-Johnson syndrome begins with flu like symptoms,followed by a painful red or purplish rash that spreads and blisters. Then the top layer of the affected skin dies and sheds. I have known this family for years and they are a blessing to everyone, but with only one parent that can work ever penny has been tight or not there. I know that not just the medical bills have skyrocketed but also just everyday trying to live and not go under. Even though this is a go fund me for Christopher, there is a 15 old daughter Haley and then also mom and dad Stacey and Michael Haferkamp. They need prayers but also at this time ( Christmas) maybe something more.
