After experiencing domestic violence and abuse for almost 17 years, it has become my mission to help other women in these horrible situations. I am currently helping a woman escape and could use any help you are willing to give. She has experienced financial, mental, emotional, and physical abuse. She has been beaten multiple times, had her nose broken, had her hair ripped out, been covered in bruises, starved and had water withheld from her, had some of the cruelest things screamed at her, had every penny stolen from her, her car taken, and much, much more. The man that was supposed to love her has tried to destroy her, but she is ready to fight back and regain her freedom and her life. She has been lucky enough to be awarded a temporary restraining order, but in order to be truly safe and start her healing journey, she will need to move out, move back home, get a vehicle, and get on her feet. I am hoping that with the kindness of strangers, we can raise enough to get her a moving van and enough money for first months rent, and a little extra for groceries until she finds a job in her new location. Every little bit helps and gets her closer to safety sooner. I am hoping to have her out of there as soon as possible, so the sooner I can gather this money, the sooner she can get out and start the next chapter of her life.
