❤ Please help us put our loved one to rest.
Jerry Osterbind departed his life very unexpectedly on April 29, 2022. He leaves behind his mother, his wife, Elaine, two children, three stepchildren, and 17 grandchildren. He has many extended family members and numerous life-long friends.
He was a lifelong resident of Chesterfield County and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Even though Jerry was loved dearly by so many, they still could not help him when he lost control of his mental stability. So many resources, but none were willing to help the family save this man from himself. What a shame, a waste of such a good person.
We’ve all watched the videos, the news, and seen pictures of the site where Jerry was killed that fateful late night/early morning on April 29, 2022, in a tragic accident/incident. The press called it a suicide – but those who knew him well, knows that he loved life, he loved his family and friends. He did not want to die – he didn’t think he “could” die (damned mental illness). The family is devastated, and heartbroken, in a state of disbelief. He will no longer be there for them. He will not fulfill his plans of growing a garden with his kids and grandkids this Summer. No more riding bikes with the grandkids. No longer will they have the opportunity to video him having fun by jumping on the trampoline or catching fish. Jerry was a simple man and loved everyone… “never met a stranger” – that was him.
We are asking for help to lessen the burden of costs, final arrangements, and to give him a decent Celebration of Life. Any donation is greatly appreciated… If you can/cannot donate, please say a prayer for the family, who is grieving so deeply at this time. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, messages, and love during this difficult time.
