To our generous Jewish community:

You have always been generous and supportive of our fellow members in need. I know that all of us have already been very giving to our community through donations to our synagogues and other needy families, but there is a family in urgent need of your help. During this time of the year, we are all preparing for the holiday of Sukkot, to spend more time with our loving families. But there is a family who needs support now more than ever. Please find it in your heart to make one more donation this year.

Mr. Mark Niazov, who many of you may know, is a 47-year-old Bukharian Jew who lives in Hewlett, New York. He has been a loving husband for 25 years and a loving father of 5. Unfortunately, right after Yom Kippur, he was diagnosed with leukemia and is now faced with the unfortunate reality of fighting for his life. Events such as this remind us all how frail we truly are and how lucky we are to be alive and to have the opportunity to spend every moment with our loved ones.

All of our prayers will be with Mark, and we are hopeful that his treatment will be successful. As a result of the diagnosis and due to his pending treatments, he is now unable to work and provide for his family. Additionally, the cost of the healthcare he will be receiving is far more than his family can afford.

As you can imagine, the family is undergoing a horrific ordeal. Not only is the husband and father of the family fighting for his life, but the family now faces the prospect of being unable to afford their rent, food, gasoline, clothing, medical expenses, and other basic needs.

As a result, we are respectfully requesting our community to come together to help this family. Whether it’s 1 dollar or 1,000, every dollar helps. May Hashem bless you and your families and thank you for helping them.
