Jewel's Service Dog Training

My name is Melissa Garcia I am a 35 year old adult with high functioning autism. I live in Dana Point, CA. I currently go to the UCI college. Where I hope to get my masters in their law school after completing my undergraduate courses. But my goal is to become a research lawyer for a law firm. Hopefully after that I hope to potentially go to bergin college of canine studies potentially to learn to be a service dog trainer myself.

I wish to learn this due to my struggles of finding help to get my own service dog in training the training support in hopes for her to become my service dog. I want to help others not face the struggles I had to face, this is finding the training then locating support to pay for the training that is critical for a dog to become a service dog. As there lags to be any support given for adults with autism. Yet, there are a ton of support for children to get resources grants and funding as well as service dogs for them. But as an adult it’s always a fight struggle for me to get any support but that has not stopped me from trying.

I am writing this message in hopes to get donations. As my service dog in training, Jewel is 3 years of age and she is my service dog in training. We have trainers who will provide her with the critical training she needs to become a service dog. Yet, I don’t have the money to pay for such extensive training. I am reaching out to the public with the backing support of a Cat who trains Dogs, LLC. who made my fundraising link. I am looking for donations and support to raise enough money to pay the trainers we have in mind to get my dog the training she needs to go from a service dog in training to becoming my autism service dog.
