Solitude - the film

I'm an actor, an author, an avid horseman....and a proud hermit.  I find the world oddly "connected" on a very superficial level and disturbingly disconnected on the most personal levels - especially when it comes to our connections with our own inner selves.  We have built a world with a shell of connectivity that hides an empty core of loneliness and despair.  Jean-Paul Sartre famously said, "If you are lonely when you are alone, you are in bad company."  And there is so very much bad company about.
     The famous Poem, Desiderata (Things Desired) begins, "Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence."  To help illustrate that peace and Sartre's GOOD company, I intend to make a film documenting my solo horseback ride on my beautiful horse, Solitude, through the Mojave Desert in the fall of 2016.  One man.  One horse.  130 miles of pristine desert preserve and some amazing historical spots along the way of the old Mojave Road. 
     I'll be making a summer KickStarter campaign to raise the serious money I need for the film but, in the meantime, I need money for a drone and some cameras to film a teaser and get the ball rolling.  Please help me make this very important film about the most important (and perhaps the most elusive and difficult) connection of our lives...our connection with ourselves! 
   I really do feel this film will convey an important message for our troubled times.  Solitude and I both cannot thank you enough for helping us get it made!
