JesYo's Journey

Donation protected
Jessica or Jes or JesYo or YO (as MANY know her by) was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on February 25th, 2019.

She first noticed a small lump in her breast in December 2018. It was about the size of a nickel.  She has fibrocystic disease so lumps are common for her.  She even had a mammogram in 2017 and it was clean from any cancer.  In early February she noticed that her breast was starting to hurt. She felt her breast and the lump had grown to the size of flattened plum. She was alarmed at how fast it had grown and immediately went to her doctor. After a mammogram, a sonogram and three biopsies, it was confirmed. She has Grade 3 , which is a very aggressive and fast growing type of  Cancer= Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.

The next couple of weeks were a whirl wind! She had more blood tests, MRI, CT Scan, Bone Density, Genetic testing and PET.   She visited a cancer surgeon, had a chemo port surgically implanted and was introduced to her oncologist. Her oncologist discussed her treatment options. She will need 8 chemo treatments, one every 2 weeks for 4 months. This is to shrink her tumor. She will then have a lumpectomy or mastectomy and possible radiation.  Her cancer is a Stage 2B. It has not spread to her lymph nodes. However, since it is a Grade 3 fast growing  and aggressive cancer it must be watched for any changes. She is also a Triple Negative which means she tested negative for the main cancer causing triggers and also negative in the genetic test. They do not know why she has developed cancer.  It is believed that her multiple autoimmune diseases could possibly be the trigger.

Jes is a single parent of two boys, Parker and Elijah. They are the light of her life! Parker recently turned 18. Elijah is just 9.  Elijah's father, unfortunately, has no part in his life, this is his choice.

Jes is a full time Vet Tech and loved by many as she loves and cares for their "furbabies" with compassion, tenderness and love!

Unfortunately, her employer does NOT offer paid sick days or paid vacation days. She is also responsible for her own health insurance.
Jes is a very hard worker but as we all know chemotherapy, surgery and radiation  is hard on your body.  She will not be able to work most days especially as she receives more chemo treatments, surgery and  radiation.
In addition, we are not sure how her body will react to treatments as she has so many autoimmune problems.

Her medical bills, medication needs and loss of pay from not working will be a huge set back for her.

We are asking for any possible donation that you are able to give.
We also ask for your prayers and the peace and comfort that only God can give.

In advance...THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I am Crystal, Jessica's  "Mama Bear"  and I know the struggles Jessica has in life as a single parent.  She lives paycheck to paycheck. She is a proud, hard working mother and does not like to  take unless she can give back.
It is hard for her to accept any kind of "free will" giving.

We discussed that sometimes in life we have to take the love and kindness people want to give...and one day we WILL be the givers and share our love to help another.
