Jesus's Medical Expenses after Open Heart Surgery

Hello! On Thursday, April 15th, our world was changed w/o warning. That night while sleeping, Jesus woke with some pretty serious chest pains. After a short time, the pains were only getting worse. We decided to go to the ER, where they confirmed that he did indeed have a heart attack. They said it was a "small" one but they wanted to run some more tests to see what kind of damage their was and that Jesus would have to spend the night in the hospital Blood tests further showed that there was some damage to his heart. The next day, Friday, Jesus had a heart catherization done. The news was not good. The cardiologist found 3 blocked arteries with one of them being rather large. The doctor indicated that Jesus would need to have Triple Bypass Open Heart Surgery. In order for this operation to happen, he would have to be transferred to a bigger hospital a 1 1/2 from our home. Late Friday night, Jesus was transferred to St. Luke's in Milwaukee by ambulance. The Open Heart Surgery was performed by Dr. Kress, one of the best heart surgeons in the area. We were very lucky to have the best care by everyone at the hospital. We will be forever grateful that they were able to save his life. The surgery was successful w/o complications and we were able to come home yesterday, April 21st. Now comes recovery. It is coming along slowly but surely. There will be home health visits, cardiac rehab and continued healing from the surgery itself. Jesus will not be able to go back to work(which he just started a new job 6 weeks ago) for about 12 weeks. He also cannot drive for awhile as well. Any donations raised on this page would go towards mounting medical expenses such as hospital & doctor bills, medications, medical supplies, home health nurse care and more! Since Jesus just started his new job not too long ago, he also does not have any short term or time off he can use. The loss of income is a huge hit to our family.
