Dear family and friends, our beloved Jesus (JJ) Rivera, 19, has been diagnosed with end-stage liver disease and is being tested for Leukemia.
On February 23rd, JJ was admitted to the hospital due to extreme pain, nausea, and lower back pain. As of now, it is known that Jesus is experiencing Hepatosplenomegaly, which is a condition that causes swelling and enlargement of the liver and spleen. Additionally, JJ’s bones show an abnormal “moth eaten” appearance. JJ has so far gotten a blood transfusion and a bone marrow biopsy.
Currently, JJ is hospitalized and because of COVID-19, his mother Claudia Marquez, is the only family member allowed in the room. As you can imagine, this devastating news has already taken a toll on JJ’s family emotionally and financially. Your donation will raise essential funds for his medical expenses and treatment.
We are all praying as a family and as a community for JJ. Community outreach is incredibly helpful to raise awareness, raise funds, and keep JJ in good spirits as he battles this illness. If you can make any donation, the family will be forever grateful.
We will update you as more information is available.
