Hi friends, family, and any kind strangers,
I am Victoria Ellis-Breden. My husband Taylor and I never imagined we would be walking through so many hardships back-to-back after just starting our life together. We got married in 2021, full of excitement for the future—but not long after, the challenges began.
Within the first year of marriage, Taylor underwent two surgeries. Then, heartbreak struck our family when we lost both of our elderly dogs back-to-back. Not long after, our remaining senior dog was diagnosed with mast cell cancer and required emergency surgery, followed by two hematoma surgeries back-to-back earlier this year (2025). Those vet bills alone totaled over $6,000.
As if that wasn’t enough, in August of 2024, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Over the last year, I’ve endured nine surgeries, trying every option possible before the doctors and oncologists determined that a hysterectomy is my only path forward. My surgery is scheduled for October 8th, 2025.
This means I’ll be out of work for about six weeks. I own and run a small cleaning business and don’t have employees or contractors—so when I can’t work, there’s no income. Having been able to work through every other previous hardship and recovery, I have not needed to ask for help. However, this time is different & a much longer recovery period.
On top of that, my insurance is not covering everything. It’s estimated that my out-of-pocket costs for this surgery alone will be about $3,000, not including the loss of income during recovery.
I have tried to carry the weight of everything these last few years, but this season has left me completely drained financially and emotionally. It’s humbling to ask for help, but I know I can’t do this alone.
If you feel led to support us—whether through giving, sharing this page, or simply keeping us in prayer—we would be deeply grateful. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help cover medical bills, lost income, and ease the weight we’re carrying during this difficult time.
Thank you for standing with us, believing with us, and helping us push through to brighter days.
With love and gratitude,
Victoria
(A meal train will also be available during recovery ❤️)
