On the afternoon of Tuesday, September 9th Jesus Olvera Aguilar was installing shingles on a roof in the Lakewood Ranch area of Bradenton, FL. He was struck by lightning and passed away on the roof despite the performance of life saving measures. Jesus was only 19 years old. He was just starting his adult life, a family, and his career. Jesus leaves behind his girlfriend, who is expecting their first child as well as his 3 brothers. Colonial Roofing is raising this money for both his girlfriend and his brothers. 100% of the proceeds will be distributed to the family. Jesus had only worked for Colonial Roofing since June of 2021 but in a short time he proved to be a great person and an excellent team member. Rest in Peace Jesus.
