Jesus’ Muscular Dystrophy Fund

Hi, my name is Irma Elizabeth Cardenas and my goal is to raise money to help my cousin Jesus who was born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He lives with his family in Mexico who do not have the means to cover his medical needs.

Jesus, who is now 18, was diagnosed with

Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 6.

Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is an inherited disease that causes weakening and wasting of the muscles which progressively affects the legs, upper body, and later affect the respiratory and cardiac muscles.

There is no cure at the moment and although Jesus has been in treatment since his diagnosis, his condition is worsening and is now in need of a very expensive BiPap machine in order to help him breathe properly.

With your help, we would be able to raise enough money to purchase the BiPap machine Jesus needs and help him make his life as comfortable as possible.

Hola, mi nombre es Irma Elizabeth Cárdenas y mi objetivo es recaudar dinero para ayudar a mi primo Jesús, quien nació con Distrofia Muscular de Duchenne. Vive con su familia en México quienes no cuentan con los recursos para cubrir sus necesidades médicas.

A Jesús, que ahora tiene 18 años, le diagnosticaron Distrofia Muscular de Duchenne a la edad de 6 años.

La Distrofia Muscular de Duchenne (DMD) es una enfermedad hereditaria que causa debilitamiento y atrofia de los músculos que afecta progresivamente las piernas, la parte superior del cuerpo y luego afecta los músculos respiratorios y cardíacos.

No existe cura por el momento y, aunque Jesús ha estado en tratamiento desde su diagnóstico, su condición está empeorando y ahora necesita una máquina BiPap muy costosa para ayudarlo a respirar adecuadamente.

Con su ayuda, podríamos recaudar suficiente dinero para comprar la máquina BiPap que Jesús necesita y ayudarlo a hacer su vida lo más cómoda posible.
