Remembering Jesus Jimenez "El Chuy"
Donation protected
Jesús Jiménez, “El Chuy,” passed away on July 4, 2020, at the age of 45, doing what he loved most — spending time with his wife, children, and family. Jesús was a great husband, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, and the best DAD!!! He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Mirza Barbosa, and their four beautiful children, Mireily (12), Gael (7), Kika (5), and Aaron (2). Jesús will be missed by many, as he had lots of friends, military brothers, customers who truly LOVED him!! Jesús helped anyone that he could–without a doubt! We will all miss that smile he had for everyone that crossed his path!
Giver, thoughtful, devoted friend, responsible family man, always helping others. These are just a few traits that made Jesús Jiménez a standout. Jesús had a passion for bringing joy to others through his tattoo businesses, Vida y Muerte and Calaveras in Killeen, Texas. His passion for touching others through his art work was featured by the New York Times in 2014. Accolades and recognition aside, Jesús will always be remembered for his humility and genuine sense of caring for others, especially when creating their desired “body art.”
We are setting up this GoFundMe page because we have received so many requests from friends and loved ones who would like to provide support for Jesús’ wife and children as they make their way forward without their sole breadwinner. Funds donated will be used to ensure the Jiménez family carries on in the lifestyle to which they are accustomed, one founded on love of family and friends, responsibility, security and the support of their community. It will be rough, but we know the Jiménez family has a great army of friends and family surrounding them (and an ANGEL beside them!) who will not let them fall.
On behalf of the Jesús Jiménez family, we appreciate the outpouring of love, friendship, support, and memories shared over the past week. We know that your thoughtfulness and support during this most difficult time will undoubtedly carry us through the next several months, and we are so grateful, appreciative and blessed. Thank you for you kindness!
