On Friday October 7th, 2022, Jesus Gutierrez (my husband) was walking across a crosswalk and was struck by a car racing with another. He died three times in the hospital. Jesus came into the hospital with a fractured neck and vertebrae, broken arms and leg, almost lost his right arm, had Internal bleeding and went into liver shock. He is currently In the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. We were fortunate enough to know an ambulance and firefighters were by the scene before a reckless driver struck Jesus.

He has fought for his life, survived death three times in one day and is doing his best to return to his two beautiful daughters. Our oldest is seven years old, and our youngest is three years old. My husband is a selfless, loving father and a passionate husband that provides for us all. He is a son, brother, uncle and friend to so many. He is a great friend who puts everyone before himself and is always thinking about how he can put a smile on someone's face.

He is a UPS driver and takes pride in serving his community with his hard work. Jesus didn't deserve to go through this. My family doesn't deserve to go through this. The driver totaled his car by hitting Jesus. It's horrific to see the damage left on the vehicle. The donations sent by everyone will be used for Jesus's rehabilitation and our bills while we wait for him to wake up as it will be months of recovery. Donations will also be used for lawyers to seek justice for what has happened to him. Please, any donations will help Jesus through his healing process and give justice to Jesus so this driver doesn't repeat this with someone else's loved one.
