Jess's Smile
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Maxine, the mother of Jess. In May 2021, we lost our beautiful daughter Jess to anaphylaxis. Jess had a peanut allergy and unknowingly consumed something with peanuts in. She was on life support for 6 days. She had suffered a catastrophic brain injury due to lack of oxygen and there was nothing more the doctors could do for her. On the 14th of May we had to say goodbye. We chose to do this at sunset, Jess's favourite time of the day. I am fundraising for our local school to install a Kitt Medical Device. Kitt is an anaphylaxis prevention and treatment system for schools and other public spaces. Like a defibrillator, but for allergies. I am also raising money for The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation. There mission is to bring about positive change by focusing on medical research, laws and policies, education and raising allergy awareness. They want to ensure the needs of people living with allergies are met in a meaningful way and to offer real hope that will change the lives of all those living with this life-threatening disease.
In July myself and a group of people will be abseiling down the Peacehaven Cliffs, which terrifies me and many others. I hope you are able to support this venture and many more I am planning
