Hi I’m Stephenie and this is my husband, Jess’s story….

I don’t know where to start with this so forgive me if it’s a little scattered. To get straight to the point Jess, my husband, has a brain tumor, glioblastoma range 4, from what they see in the scans right now.

This started in July when his hand went numb, like it was asleep, so thinking it was a pinched nerve he went to the chiropractor and it seemed to help. It didn’t go away but changed over the course of the next few months. Ending with his right hand being mostly numb and having spasms in his hand. Trip to the doctor then MRI/MRA trip to the neurosurgeon and now here we are.

The information from the neurosurgeon is that if he does nothing he has months. If we follow his recommendations the number he gave is 2 years. These could change once they’ve sent the tumor to pathology for testing….His recommendation is surgery to remove the tumor as much as they can, which will be determined by testing they do while the surgery is taking place so they leave as much function to the hand as possible. He’ll be in the ICU for the first day/night then if everything goes as planned move to a regular room to be discharged later that day. The tumor will be sent to test to see exactly what it is then after a month and the results from that it’s to radiation and chemo. That will be 5 days a week for 6 weeks the a 3 week break then another round.

They also do have a clinical trial that’s vaccine based that Jess is interested in trying. It’s in addition to the other so he’s still doing the recommended course also. Before surgery and the trial he needs to have a full body CT scan done as well as some additional test to be approved for the trial. We are working to get those done quickly so we can get the surgery scheduled. This is really all we know right now. I will update once things are scheduled.

We are all scared and just working through this minute by minute.  What other option do we really have?!?! Thank you for taking the time to read through this and one final request……Please please please pray, send positive healing, cast a spell for healing and good news!! Whatever your vibe may be!!! We need it all!! He needs it’s all!!!! Love to you all.
