Jess's battle against Spinal Fungal Meningitus

My name is DeAnn. I'm Jessica's Momma.

Jessica has come across some difficult unforseen medical issues. She has been diagnosed with a rare form of Meningitus. Fungal Meningitus. There has been an outbreak stemming from the K-3 clinic in Matamoros Mexico where she underwent an elective procedure. The private hospital has been completely shut down. And an investigation has formed with the CDC, Mexico Ministry of Health, and State Department of Health. Three women in the US have passed away, and 15 are hospitalized undergoing treatments battling this scary disease. Luckily the State Department of Health tracked Jessica down at her home. Urging her to go in immediately to the ER to undergo a spinal tap. She has been in the hospital since the night of May 24th. They were able to find the infection in Jessica's spine. She has been on heavy treatments and infusions to stop the infection from spreading to her brain. The medication used to kill the infection is very toxic to her kidneys and liver. Jessica's Dr's are supplementing her with very high levels of magnesium and potassium. She has had a picc line inserted with complications and is hoping to undergo a daily 4 hour outpatient infusion treatment program, so she can go home to her daughters. My daughter is a single Mom of 3. Jessica has worked really hard to get to where she is. She would give the shirt off her back to help others and has many friends that she has helped in hard times. Now Jessica has fell on hard times. Her kids need her back to her full health and need their Momma.
